Bhubaneswar, Oct 1: As Durga Puja celebrations gather momentum across the city, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) has issued a public advisory urging citizens not to park vehicles on flyovers and overbridges for photography or videography purposes.

The appeal comes in light of increasing instances where people halt their vehicles on elevated roads to capture festive moments, which officials warn could lead to traffic congestion and accidents.

“People are requested not to park vehicles on flyovers or overbridges to take photographs/videos, as it may cause congestion and accidents. Please avoid it,” the DCP Traffic stated.

The advisory emphasizes that flyovers are meant strictly for transit and not for recreational stops. Authorities have urged the public to remain mindful of traffic rules and cooperate with enforcement efforts to ensure smooth vehicular movement during the festive season.
