Bhubaneswar, Jun 29: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will undertake a two‑day visit to Odisha on July 4 and 5, covering Bargarh and Sambalpur districts. During the visit, he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for multiple development projects and address public meetings, BJP spokesperson Manas Ranjan Baxi said on Monday.

On July 4, Shah will arrive at Jharsuguda airport and travel by road to Bargarh, where he will inaugurate a Rs1,750 crore ethanol plant, a major industrial project for the region. Following the inauguration, he is scheduled to address a public meeting.

Later that evening, Shah will proceed to Sambalpur for an overnight stay. On July 5, he will lay foundation stones for several developmental projects in Sambalpur and attend a party meeting before returning to New Delhi.

The programmes will be attended by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Education Minister and Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP state president and Rajya Sabha MP Manmohan Samal, Bargarh MP Pradeep Kumar Purohit, along with several Ministers, MPs, and MLAs.

The visit is expected to energise the party cadre in western Odisha and highlight the Centre’s developmental initiatives in the region, particularly in industrial and infrastructure sectors, Baxi added.
