Officials said the visit is significant in the backdrop of recent high‑profile programmes in Odisha. On June 20, President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi jointly visited Pahadpur village in Mayurbhanj district, marking the state government’s two‑year anniversary and the Centre’s twelve years in office. Shah’s upcoming visit is expected to add further momentum to the BJP’s activities in the state.

The DGP has directed officials to ensure seamless coordination among agencies and maintain strict vigilance during Shah’s visit. With multiple programmes lined up, the police are preparing a comprehensive security blueprint to avoid any lapses.
