Bhubaneswar, Oct 9: In a significant administrative move, the Odisha Police Department has transferred 19 Additional Superintendents of Police (Addl. SPs) to new postings.

The reshuffle aims to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen law enforcement in key regions.

The appointments includes-

Alok Kumar Jena, who was serving as additional SP, Bolangir, has been transferred and posted as Additional SP, Berhampur.

Seema Swain has been shifted to the office of the IGP, NCR, Talcher.

Indurekha Paschimakabata posted as Additional SP, IUCAW, Dhenkanal.

Amrit Kumar Panda posted as Additional SP, IUCAW, Bolangir.

Swastik Panda will now serve as the Additional SP, Vigilance.

Sourav Otta posted to the State Police Headquarters, Cuttack.

Pravat Kumar Biswal shifted to IUCAW, Kendrapara.

Sanjeev Kumar Satpathy posted to the STF Wing.

Sasmita Sahoo, Aswini Kumar Nayak, Devjeet Bhattacharya, have been reassigned to Vigilance and DIB units.

Pradeep Kumar Kerketta posted Addl. SP, DIB, Bargarh.

Other notable transfers include Gunanidhi Malik posted as Additional SP, Spl. Branch, Akash Chandra Sahoo to BPSPA, Bhubaneswar.

Harapriya Nayak to Vigilance; Satyavikash Bhuyan to DIB, Bhadrak; and Anshuman Dwibedi to Rayagada.

Snehashis Sahoo will now serve in Keonjhar, while Prakash James Toppo has been posted to the Addl. SP, O/o DIGP, Western Range, Rourkela.

The transfer order, issued by the Home Department, reflects the state’s ongoing efforts to optimise police leadership and ensure effective crime control.
