Noida, Oct 3: A chilling tragedy unfolded on Saturday when a young man ended his life by jumping from the 43rd floor of the posh Supernova building in Noida’s Sector 94. The horrific incident took place at the Aspire Tower of the society, leaving residents in shock.

The impact of the fall was so severe that the victim’s body was severed into two pieces. Eyewitnesses reported hearing a sound resembling a bomb blast inside the complex due to the force of the fall.

According to initial reports, the youth had been staying at Supernova’s Airbnb facility. A video capturing the moment of his jump has since gone viral on social media, intensifying the horror of the incident.

Police officials confirmed that the identity of the deceased and the exact reason behind the suicide remain under investigation. However, media reports quoted an AC mechanic who claimed he tried to stop the man from jumping.

The mechanic alleged that the youth said he was depressed before leaping to his death. This statement has not been independently verified.

Residents below, horrified by the sight, recorded the incident, and the video quickly spread online. Authorities have urged restraint in sharing such sensitive content, while forensic teams continue to examine the scene.

This tragedy comes close on the heels of another suicide reported last month in Greater Noida. A first‑year MCA student, identified as Abhishek, son of Umesh Chandra from Kasganj district, hanged himself in his rented room at Sector Alpha‑2.

Police said Abhishek had moved to Noida only a month earlier and was pursuing his MCA course through online classes. His body was sent for post‑mortem, and forensic teams inspected the scene, though the reason for his suicide remained unclear at the time.

The back‑to‑back incidents have raised concerns about mental health struggles among youth in the region. Police investigations are ongoing.
