New Delhi, Nov 10: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan attended the 150th anniversary celebrations of the national song Vande Mataram at an event held at Ramjas College, University of Delhi, here on Monday. The occasion paid tribute to the song’s enduring legacy and its pivotal role in uniting the nation during India’s freedom struggle.

Addressing students and faculty, Pradhan called for a national revival through the song, urging its integration into academic life as a symbol of unity and progress.

 

A Message to the Youth

Pradhan encouraged young Indians to sing the full version of Vande Mataram regularly, proposing its inclusion in classroom routines across Delhi University. He envisioned the university as a cultural torchbearer, transforming the song into a mass movement that connects generations and reinforces national identity.
