Tesla Unveils Mega Facility in Gurugram, Here’s What’s Inside

Key Points

  • Tesla opened its first integrated India Tesla Centre in Gurugram, combining retail, service, delivery and charging under one facility.
  • Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini said the state’s exports rose to Rs 2.75 lakh crore in 2025 and contributes 3.6% to India’s GDP.
Gurugram, Nov 27: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday described Tesla's establishment in Gurugram as a significant milestone for the state's development trajectory, revealing that Haryana's exports have surged from Rs 70,000 crore to Rs 2,75,000 crore in 2025 while contributing 3.6% to India's GDP.

The Chief Minister, while inaugurating Tesla’s latest facility, highlighted Haryana’s strong road and air connectivity and credited major projects like the KMP global corridor for accelerating industrial growth. He said the state is emerging as a hotspot for mobile and automobile manufacturing, with significant production in agri-vehicles and two-wheelers. With 12 lakh small industries, a dedicated MSME department and several outdated laws scrapped, Haryana, he noted, is steadily cutting red tape and rolling out the red carpet for companies like Tesla.

Saini added that Haryana is already gearing up for next-generation technologies by building an AI hub in Gurugram and forming a Department of Future to adopt deep-tech systems. A ₹2,000-crore fund is on the cards for start-ups, and an integrated manufacturing cluster is in the works in Hisar. He expressed hope that Tesla would eventually set up allied units in the state and assured the company of full support.

Following the CM’s remarks, Tesla officially opened its first integrated Tesla Centre in India at Orchid Business Park, Sector 48, Gurugram. Operational from November 27, 2025, the flagship site brings retail, service, delivery and charging operations under one roof, a one-stop address for Tesla customers in northern India.

Sharad Agarwal, General Manager of Tesla India, said the Gurugram centre plays a “crucial role” in Tesla’s India rollout, helping build the support ecosystem required for seamless EV adoption. The facility offers detailed product information, test drives for the Tesla Model Y, complete after-sales services and V4 Supercharger-supported charging.

Adding a futuristic touch, the centre also showcases Tesla’s Optimus Gen 2 humanoid robot prototype, which is simultaneously on display at Tesla locations in Mumbai and Delhi.

Since entering the Indian market in July, Tesla has moved at full throttle, opening experience centres in Mumbai and Delhi and setting up three charging sites across the two cities. With another charging point coming up at One Horizon, Gurugram, Tesla’s network will soon feature four sites equipped with 16 Superchargers and 10 Destination Chargers.
