New Delhi, Jan 29: A 27-year-old woman, posted as a SWAT commando of the Delhi Police, has been brutally murdered by her husband. She died while undergoing treatment at hospital.


The deceased has been identified as Kajal Chaudhary. She was recruited into the Delhi Police in 2022 and was currently posted in the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team.


Kajal had married Ankur in the year 2023, a clerk in the Ministry of Defence.


According to reports, on January 22, an argument broke out between Kajal and her husband Ankur over some financial matters. Soon the argument turned violent after Ankur hit her with a heavy dumbbell, injuring her critically.


Kajal, with serious head injuries, was admitted to a hospital. However, she succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment on Tuesday.


Meanwhile, Chaudhary's brother Nikhil, who is also a police personnel, stated that at the time of the incident, her sister was over the phone with him. While talking, Ankur began hitting her with the dumbbell.

While a murder case has been registered against Ankur, further probe into the incident is underway.


The couple have a one-and-a-half-year-old son, as per the report.
