Sukma, Nov 5: Security forces in Chhattisgarh have achieved a major breakthrough in their anti-Maoist operations, dismantling an illegal arms manufacturing unit deep within the forests of Sukma district.
According to reports, District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel were conducting a search operation in the Gomaguda area of Sukma when they uncovered the hidden facility.
The operation was part of an ongoing campaign to suppress Maoist activity in the region.
The factory, located in a dense jungle zone, was reportedly used by Maoist insurgents to produce firearms and explosives intended for attacks on security personnel.

During the raid, forces seized a cache of weapons and materials, including: one BGL rocket launcher, 6 BGLs (Bore Grenade Launchers), 6 twelve-bore rifles, 3 single-shot rifles, Additional firearms and explosive-making equipment.
Officials believe the Maoists were planning large-scale attacks using weapons manufactured at the site. The seizure is being hailed as a significant blow to their operational capabilities.
Search operations in the area are still ongoing, with security forces maintaining a strong presence to prevent further insurgent activity.
