Bhubaneswar, Feb 26: The Election Commission of India has issued the official notification for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections, scheduled for March 16. A total of 37 seats across 10 states will go to polls, including four seats from Odisha.

According to the notification, the process of filing nominations will conclude on March 5, with scrutiny of papers set for March 6. Candidates will have until March 9 to withdraw their nominations. Voting will be conducted on March 16 between 9 AM and 4 PM, with counting of votes to follow later in the day.

The elections are expected to be closely watched, as they will determine the composition of the Upper House ahead of key legislative sessions.
