New Delhi, Oct 28: Faridabad police have arrested a woman and her fiance in connection with the murder of a man who worked as an insurance agent.

The victim’s body was discovered in a drain, prompting an investigation that led authorities to the arrest of a young couple.

The arrested persons were identified as Laxmi (29) and her fiance Keshav (26).

According to reports, Laxmi had recently got engaged to Keshav. Chander, an acquaintance from her past, was reportedly upset by the news and began blackmailing her, demanding to call off the wedding.

Unable to bear the continued harassment, Laxmi and Keshav allegedly conspired to eliminate Chander. Their plan culminated in Chander’s death, with his body later discovered in a drain in Faridabad.

The matter came to light after Chander's brother, Madan Gopal, approached the police and filed a complaint in this regard. Taking note of the report, a murder case was registered.

During the investigation, the couple name came to fore and has since been taken into custody.
