Congratulating Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for
presenting her ninth consecutive budget, PM Modi said the Union Budget is “a
highway of immense opportunities” that strengthens the foundation of India’s
bright future. He emphasised that the budget embodies trust-based governance
and a human-centric economy, while balancing fiscal discipline with high
capital expenditure and growth.
The Prime Minister noted that the budget re-empowers India’s
global role, aiming not only to remain the fastest-growing economy but also to
become the world’s third-largest economy at the earliest. He highlighted
measures to support trade deals, MSMEs, and youth, describing the budget as a
catalyst for employment generation and innovation.
PM Modi pointed to ambitious initiatives under Make in India
and Atmanirbhar Bharat, including the Bio-Pharma Shakti Mission, Semiconductor
Mission 2.0, Rare Earth Corridor, and schemes for textiles and electronics. He
said these steps would strengthen sunrise sectors and give MSMEs new strength
to expand from “local to global.”
