New Delhi, July 21: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday lauded the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, calling it an intellectual blueprint for " Viksit Bharat 2047” (Developed India 2047).

In a post on X, Pradhan emphasized that the NEP 2020 has sparked a transformation not only in how students learn but also in how the nation envisions its future.
“NEP 2020 is not merely an education policy—it is the foundation on which Viksit Bharat 2047 is being built,” Pradhan said. He also credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership for steering the policy into a comprehensive roadmap for generational progress.
Pradhan highlighted key areas of change, including the promotion of research and innovation in universities, nurturing entrepreneurial spirit among youth, and elevating Indian languages and cultural heritage in the academic space. He asserted that NEP 2020 has enabled students to transition from being "job seekers to job creators."

✨The Minister also pointed out that India’s education system has begun to favor creative thinking over rote memorization, marking a significant cultural shift in learning. This change, according to Pradhan, will benefit not just the current generation but many generations to come.
Pradhan further added that the confluence of Indian knowledge traditions, technological inclusivity, and linguistic harmony forms the essence of NEP 2020—making it a cornerstone in the journey toward a progressive and empowered India.
"Through linguistic harmony, cultural pride, and technological inclusion, NEP 2020 is creating a generation of learners who will shape India for decades to come," he said. “The policy is seen as a tool not just for individual career growth, but for nation-building itself.”
As India approaches its centenary of independence in 2047, NEP 2020 stands as a beacon guiding the country toward intellectual strength, innovation, and a holistic education system, the Minister asserted.
