New Delhi, Nov 21: International javelin thrower Annu Rani and her husband, national kickboxer Sahil Bhardwaj, landed in trouble after a video of their wedding celebrations went viral on social media.
The couple was seen firing shots in the air during their wedding ceremony in Sardhana.
The video, which quickly spread across social media platforms, also showed Sahil Bhardwaj waving bundles of Rs 10 notes over Annu Rani and tossing them into the crowd
Following the incident, a case was registered and appropriate legal action were taken against the couple.
“We have booked them under relevant sections. Such acts cannot be tolerated as they endanger lives,” said a senior officer.
