New Delhi, Mar 20: Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited observed the 55th National Safety Month across its head office in New Delhi and units at Gorakhpur, Barauni and Sindri, reaffirming its focus on workplace safety and preparedness.
The observance was held under the leadership of Managing Director SP Mohanty and included a range of activities involving employees at multiple levels.

Training and Drills Highlight Emergency Preparedness
The programme featured SCBA and CPR competitions, where participants demonstrated life-saving skills, along with hands-on SCBA wearing exercises.

A mock drill was also conducted to assess coordinated response mechanisms and adherence to established safety protocols.
Awareness Activities Promote Safety Culture
Interactive events such as extempore competitions, quizzes and drawing contests were organised to promote awareness of industrial safety, road safety and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
The activities saw participation from employees as well as young participants.
Leadership Engagement and Training Initiatives
Leadership engagement remained a key component of the observance, with Safety and HSE walks and Safety Committee interactions conducted to assess on-ground conditions and reinforce accountability.
A Leadership and Safety Excellence training programme was also organised, focusing on safety management, leadership responsibility and continuous improvement.

Family Outreach and Safety Resources Introduced
The company also extended safety awareness beyond the workplace through family engagement initiatives, encouraging participation from employees’ families.
