Fire Tragedy / Goa Nightclub Fire: CBI To Seek Interpol Blue Corner Notice Against Owners

Key Points
Panaji, Dec 9: The investigation into the Goa nightclub fire that claimed at least 25 lives late Saturday night has widened, with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) likely to approach Interpol for a Blue Corner Notice against the club’s absconding owners- Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra.
According to immigration records, the Luthra brothers boarded an early morning IndiGo flight from Delhi to Phuket, Thailand, on December 7, barely hours after the blaze engulfed the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Arpora village, North Goa.
Preliminary investigations suggest that fireworks inside the club triggered the blaze, which spread rapidly through the premises.
Authorities have uncovered multiple violations, including the absence of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the fire department, raising serious questions about safety compliance.
