New Delhi, June 12: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday formally unveiled the strategic documents for Bharat Innovates, a flagship initiative that will highlight India’s innovation and technology capabilities on the global stage, officials said.

The international exhibition is scheduled to take place in Nice, France, from June 14 to 16, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron inaugurating the event.

Pradhan, in a post on X, said: “Launched the strategic documents for #BharatInnovates in the presence of Principal Scientific Adviser to the Prime Minister, Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, and senior officials from the Ministry of Education, ahead of the flagship initiative’s global showcase in Nice, France.” He added that the initiative reflects India’s commitment to developing affordable, high-quality, and accessible solutions to challenges shared by India and the world.

The Education Ministry has shortlisted 120 promising startups from thousands of proposals, representing 13 priority sectors and partnering with over 20 leading educational institutions. These startups will present their innovations to global investors, companies, and thought leaders. Business meetings and discussions are also planned alongside the exhibition to foster collaboration.

Pradhan emphasised that Bharat Innovates is inspired by Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership and his faith in India’s youth. He conveyed appreciation to President Macron and the French government for their support in strengthening India-France cooperation in innovation and technology. “The world has complete faith in India’s young innovators. I am confident that they will continue to develop solutions that address humanity’s shared challenges and contribute to global progress,” he said.
