Rudrapur (Uttarakhand), Oct 17: A shocking incident at Trishul Chowk in Rudrapur has gone viral on social media after a woman fell off a moving bike during police checking, only to be abandoned by her husband.

According to reports, police were conducting checks on vehicles without number plates and riders without helmets. During the drive, a biker suddenly swerved to avoid inspection. The abrupt manoeuvre caused his wife, seated on the pillion, to lose balance and fall onto the road.

Eyewitnesses and CCTV footage revealed that instead of stopping to help, the rider sped away, leaving his wife behind. On‑duty police personnel immediately rushed to assist the woman, who fortunately escaped without serious injuries.

The video of the incident has sparked widespread outrage online, with many questioning why the rider chose to flee rather than ensure his wife’s safety.

Rudrapur Circle Officer Vibhav Saini confirmed the details, stating: “At Trishul Chowk, vehicles without number plates were being checked. A biker tried to avoid the inspection and moved ahead quickly. During this, the woman sitting behind fell on the road.”

Police officers spoke to the woman, who assured them she had not sustained any injuries. She was then advised and sent home safely.

CO Saini appealed to motorists not to drive recklessly to evade checks, warning that sudden maneuvers endanger both riders and others on the road. “Such actions can put lives at risk,” he cautioned.
