Baramati, Jan 28: A plane associated with Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar crashed while attempting an emergency landing at Baramati airport on Wednesday morning, triggering panic and raising serious safety concerns.


According to preliminary reports, the aircraft encountered technical difficulties during its final approach, resulting in a crash on the runway.


Local media reported that multiple people sustained injuries, though officials have not yet confirmed the exact number.


It remains unclear whether Ajit Pawar was on board the aircraft at the time of the crash. Sources indicated that he was scheduled to fly to Baramati today to attend four important public meetings.


Following the incident, airport operations were temporarily suspended, causing delays in both incoming and outgoing flights.


Forensic teams and fire services rushed to the site to control the blaze and secure the area.
