Jharkhand, Sept 2: In a significant breakthrough for security forces, nine active members of the banned Naxalite outfit Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP), including zonal and sub-zonal commanders, surrendered at the SP Office in Latehar here.
Among the surrendered were top commanders including Ravindra Yadav (Zonal Commander) and Akhilesh Yadav (Sub-Zonal Commander), both carrying cash rewards of Rs 5 lakh each.
A total of five cadres received monetary rewards under the state’s surrender and rehabilitation policy.
