Malkangiri/Sukma, Sept 2: A youth was brutally killed by Maoists near the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border, suspecting him to be a police informer.
According to reports, the incident occurred in Sirsetti village of Sukma district, close to Malkangiri.
The victim was forcibly taken by armed Maoist cadres and later killed. Eyewitnesses claim the youth was targeted while sitting near a community space in the village.
The Maoists reportedly accused him of passing information to security forces and carried out the execution as a warning to others.
