Mumbai, Jan 7: Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has once again found himself in the spotlight, not for a film release or award, but due to a fresh wave of dating rumours circulating on social media. The speculation, which links the star to an alleged underage girl, has triggered heated debate and widespread chatter online.

While the claims remain unverified, the discussion has quickly escalated across platforms, drawing both criticism and defence from fans and commentators.

How did it all begin?

It all started in early January 2026 when netizens noticed that Kartik Aaryan posted a laid-back beach photo of what seemed to be his Goa vacation, showing scenic sea views and relaxed vibes. Shortly after, another post by a woman named Karina Kubiliute, appearing to be taken at a similar beach location, with the same exact setup, began circulating online.

This sparked collective curiosity when Reddit users and social media watchers pointed out striking similarities -- including identical towel patterns, matching beach bed settings, and similar sea backgrounds -- leading many to believe the two were holidaying together.

Mutual Follow Sparks Buzz

The situation escalated further when screenshots began circulating online showing Kartik and Karina were following each other on Instagram -- until, mysteriously, the follow was removed around the same time the rumor started.  Netizens interpreted this sudden unfollow as "proof" of a secret connection.

Karina-- a young student and a cheerleader in the UK -- reports varying between her being Greek or of Lithuanian descent -- and reportedly to be 17 years old, while Kartik turned 37 in November 2025, leading to discussions around their 20-year age gap.

Karina Responds

Amid the non stop speculations -- Karina took to social media to address the swirling rumors, though not in a long post or interview. Instead, she updated her Instagram bio with-- "I don't know Kartik."

Earlier, Karina had also responded to a troll's comment under one of her posts, writing -- "I'm not his gffff!!!" Lois, bro, STFU." (clarifying in internet slang that she is not Kartik's girlfriend)

These direct responses have largely been taken as her way of dismissing any romance rumours.

Kartik’s Side -- Still Quiet

While Karina has publicly denied any connection, Kartik Aaryan has not issued any statement confirming or denying the dating rumours. His latest social media activity has focused on personal and professional content instead.
