Mumbai, Oct 17: Mumbai’s Juhu skyline, dotted with celebrity homes, witnessed a dramatic twist this week when Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) bulldozers rolled into actor Ajay Devgn’s sprawling residence, tearing down portions flagged as “unauthorised” despite prior warnings.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has demolished portions of Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn’s Juhu bungalow after declaring recent construction work “unauthorised.” The action came days after a stop‑work notice was served.
Ajay’s residence, spread across 7,802 square feet in Kapol Cooperative Housing Society (JVPD Scheme, N.S. Road No. 11, Plot S‑10), was undergoing interior alterations, including partition walls, windows, and other structural changes. Officials said these modifications were carried out without the mandatory civic permissions.

✨According to reports, the BMC issued a notice on September 10, 2026, under Section 354A of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act. The directive ordered an immediate halt to construction and submission of relevant approvals. However, civic authorities stated that work continued despite the warning.
“The construction work did not stop even after the notice was issued,” the civic body said. Following this violation, BMC teams moved in to remove parts of the allegedly unauthorised structures.
Ajay Devgn, one of Bollywood’s most recognisable stars, was last seen in Dhamaal 4, an adventure comedy directed by Indra Kumar.
The film, the fourth installment in the popular franchise, featured an ensemble cast including Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaaferi, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Upendra Limaye, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Esha Gupta.
