She showcased her dancing chops on Nach Baliye 3, winning the competition with then-partner Aamir Ali. Transitioning to films and web series, she impressed in 'Taish' (2020) and earned rave reviews for her portrayal of Waheeda in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar' (2024), where her nuanced performance as a resilient 'tawaif' stole scenes.

More recently, she appeared in the aerial action film 'Fighter' alongside Hrithik Roshan.

Divorce from Aamir

On the personal front, Shaikh's life has seen its share of highs and lows. She tied the knot with actor Aamir Ali in 2012 after years of dating. The couple welcomed their daughter, Ayra, via surrogacy in 2018.

However, after nearly a decade together, they separated in 2020 and finalized their divorce in 2021.

Shaikh has openly discussed the emotional toll, describing it as a "tough phase" that involved losing some friends and navigating single motherhood.
