Bhubaneswar, Dec 11: The worlds of cricket and Bollywood have crossed paths countless times — from star couples like Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty, to films such as 83 celebrating India’s cricketing glory or even MS Dhoni: An Untold Story — the former India skipper's journey to 2011 World Cup glory.

But this time, the crossover came in the form of a nostalgic throwback shared by MS Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi Dhoni, sending fans into a frenzy.

Sakshi took to her social media handle — Instagram — to post a series of old photographs from the early 2000s, spanning the years 2000 to 2006. The images captured moments with her friends, offering a glimpse into her younger days. However, one picture in particular stole the spotlight — a rare snapshot of a young Sakshi posing with Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan.

The photo shows Sakshi and one of her friends pose for a photograph standing either side of Hrithik Roshan against a scenic backdrop. Judging by Hrithik’s appearance, fans speculated that the picture was taken during the shoot of Krrish, which hit theatres in 2006.

The unexpected crossover instantly sparked excitement among fans, who flooded the comments section with reactions.

One user wrote, “with hrithik roshan in 8th slide damnnn,” while another pointed out, “A photo with Hrithik Roshan during Krrish shooting.” Many also complimented Sakshi for her timeless charm and the nostalgic value of the pictures.

Hrithik Roshan, who continues to remain one of Bollywood’s most celebrated stars, was last seen in the action drama War 2, co‑starring Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani. Despite the massive buzz surrounding the film, it fell short of expectations at the box office.

Meanwhile, fans of the actor’s iconic superhero franchise received an update earlier this year. In September 2025, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan confirmed that Krrish 4 is officially in the works and slated for release in 2027.

Sakshi’s throwback post not only delighted fans but also served as a reminder of how deeply intertwined the worlds of cricket and cinema have always been — sometimes in the most unexpected ways.
