Kollywood / Rs 628 Crore Worldwide, But Is Rajinikanth’s 'Jailer 2' Losing Its Box-Office Steam?

Chennai, Oct 24: 'Jailer 2' has crossed the Rs 628-crore mark worldwide, but its Day 10 box-office numbers tell a different story. The film recorded a live India net estimate of Rs 12.98 crore on Saturday, with collections spread across 8,441 shows.

The latest figure raises a key question: can the Rajinikanth-starrer maintain its box-office momentum after a blockbuster opening run?

According to the figures available, 'Jailer 2' collected Rs 9.19 crore net from 4,142 Tamil shows, Rs 2.38 crore from 1,377 Telugu shows and Rs 1.41 crore from 2,922 Hindi shows on Day 10. The total remains provisional, with final collections yet to be reported.

From Rs 59.70 Crore On Day 1 To Rs 12.98 Crore On Day 10
The film opened with an India net collection of Rs 59.70 crore on October 15. It collected Rs 37.10 crore on Day 2, followed by Rs 47.25 crore on Day 3 and Rs 55.85 crore on Day 4.

Collections subsequently eased to Rs 42.35 crore on Day 5, Rs 46.80 crore on Day 6, Rs 28.15 crore on Day 7 and Rs 17.15 crore on Day 8. The film collected Rs 14.50 crore on Day 9 before recording a live estimate of Rs 12.98 crore on Day 10.

The numbers show a considerable decline from the opening day's collection, although the daily figures also reflect fluctuations across the film's theatrical run. The Day 10 estimate is not final, and the completed total could change.

The worldwide total remains impressive, but the latest daily collection will be closely watched as the film enters the next phase of its theatrical run.
