Bhubaneswar/New Delhi, Aug 1: In a proud moment for Odia cinema, Pushkara has been awarded the Best Odia Feature Film at the prestigious 71st National Film Awards, held in New Delhi. The film stood out among regional entries for its compelling storytelling, cultural depth, and cinematic excellence.

Directed by acclaimed director Subhransu Das, Pushkara explores the nuances of rural life in Odisha, weaving together themes of tradition, resilience, and identity. The film’s authentic portrayal of Odia heritage and its emotionally resonant narrative earned it accolades from the jury, who praised its artistic merit and social relevance.

The film’s lead male cast Sabyasachi Mishra expressed gratitude for the honor, dedicating the award to the people of Odisha and the vibrant culture that inspired the story.
