Bhubaneswar: The anticipation surrounding the sequel to blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD has intensified after a fresh report suggested that director Nag Ashwin may be planning a completely new title for the next chapter instead of the expected Kalki 2 or Kalki 2898 AD Part 2.

According to media reports, the makers are reportedly considering the title Karna 3102 BC, a name that has instantly ignited discussions among fans of the film and followers of Indian mythology. While there has been no official confirmation from the filmmakers or production house, the rumoured title has fuelled speculation that the sequel will delve much deeper into the story of the legendary Mahabharata warrior Karna and his connection to the futuristic narrative established in the first film.

The title appears significant because the climax of Kalki 2898 AD strongly hinted that Prabhas' character Bhairava is intrinsically linked to Karna. That revelation became one of the biggest talking points after the film's release and opened the door for an expansive mythology-driven continuation.
