Cuttack, Dec 25: The mysterious death of Ollywood singer Human Sagar has taken a new turn after his mother, Sephali Suna, lodged a formal complaint at Cuttack’s Markatnagar police station on December 21.

 

Acting on the complaint, police have initiated an investigation and summoned nine individuals, including Arpita Choudhury, manager Dinesh Behera, and Shreya, for questioning.

 

Additional DCP Amarendra Panda confirmed that all those named in the complaint will be brought under the ambit of investigation. He stated that despite the delay in filing the complaint, there will be no hindrance to the probe. Witness statements and evidence will guide the legal process.

The police will seek medical reports from AIIMS to ascertain the exact cause of Human Sagar’s death, his health condition, and the treatment he was undergoing. Doctors who treated him will also be questioned.

Alongside medical aspects, financial transactions and property details of those named in the complaint will be scrutinized. Human’s mother has requested a thorough probe into Arpita Choudhury’s income sources, movable and immovable assets, and alleged financial dealings.

 

Electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops, tablets, SIM cards, and storage devices belonging to suspects will be seized for forensic examination. CCTV footage from residences will also be checked. The complaint alleges harassment, financial pressure, and a criminal conspiracy against the singer.

 

Meanwhile, Somesh Satpathy has filed an anticipatory bail application in the High Court to avoid arrest, as his name also appears in the complaint.

 

Human Sagar passed away on November 17 while under medical treatment, leaving fans and organizations across Odisha demanding clarity on the circumstances of his death. His mother’s complaint, filed a month later, has intensified calls for justice and is expected to shed light on unanswered questions.
