New Delhi, Jan 1: Ranveer Singh closed 2025 on a historic high as Dhurandhar, Aditya Dhar’s action-packed spy thriller, continued its phenomenal streak at the box office.

The film, already hailed as the year’s biggest blockbuster, has now undergone a revision following directives from India’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

On the final day of 2025, audiences thronged theatres, adding yet another impressive figure to its already towering box office tally. The film has now surpassed the lifetime collections of recent hits such as Jawan, Kalki 2898 AD, Chhaava, Stree 2, Animal, and Pathaan.

With ₹722.75 crore earned domestically, Dhurandhar is inching closer to the benchmark set by RRR, which stands at ₹782.2 crore. Globally, the film has already crossed the coveted ₹1000 crore mark, cementing Ranveer Singh’s reputation as one of India’s most bankable stars.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film follows Hamza (played by Ranveer Singh), an Indian spy who infiltrates the notorious gang of Rehman Dakait in Pakistan’s Lyari area. His mission: to channel critical intelligence from within the ISI network to RAW.

Akshaye Khanna delivers a chilling performance as Rehman Dakait, while Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt add gravitas in pivotal roles. Supporting performances by Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun further enrich the narrative.

While the muted words and altered dialogue reflect compliance with official directives, the film’s box office trajectory remains unaffected, underscoring its mass appeal and cultural resonance.

As the film continues its unstoppable run, industry watchers are keenly observing whether Dhurandhar can surpass RRR’s domestic record. Regardless of the outcome, the film has already secured its place among the highest-grossing Indian movies of all time, marking a milestone moment for Bollywood and for Ranveer Singh’s career.
