Following a spat over Lakshadweep Islands, celebs like Akshay Kumar have rallied behind the Indian archipelago, urging people to explore its beauty. This, however, has left Maldives vacationers in a pickle.

Vir Das, comedian and Emmy Award-winner, hilariously captured the predicament on X. He imagined a celebrity, post-carb-free fortnight and armed with stunning Maldives pics, paralyzed by the fear of posting them.

Das's tweet struck a chord. Users chimed in with suggestions like slyly passing off Maldives as Lakshadweep for maximum engagement, or even resorting to deleting past Maldives posts. One user even pointed out a "hypocrite" who'd already posted Maldives pics and was now preaching Lakshadweep.
