Bhubaneswar, Jul 1: A few years ago, no one could have predicted that Ollywood’s beloved on-screen pair, Sabyasachi Mishra and Archita Sahu, would become one of Odisha’s most adored real-life couples. Indeed, their journey from co-stars to soulmates has been nothing short of cinematic.

Their journey began in 2008 with the film 'Mu Sapanara Soudagar', where they first shared the screen. Over the years, they starred together in several hit films like Mate Ani Dela Lakhye Faguna, Mu Eka Tumara, and many more, building a strong bond both professionally and personally.

Rumours ignited to part ways
It all started with the film 'Mu Sapanara Soudagar'.

Sabyasachi and Archita found themselves at the centre of public scrutiny. Their chemistry in films like Mu Sapanara Soudagar was undeniable, but off-screen, things were far more complicated.

At one point, Sabyasachi reportedly chose not to work with Archita, a decision that sparked rumours and fueled gossip columns. The situation intensified when Archita was unfairly blamed for being the "third person" in Sabyasachi’s personal life, particularly during the time of his divorce from his first wife, Seema.

However, in an exclusive interview, Sabyasachi clarified that the divorce was mutual and had nothing to do with Archita. He opened up about the emotional toll of that period and how societal assumptions often distort the truth. Archita, too, maintained her dignity throughout, choosing silence over sensationalism.

When their love started
After the emotional turbulence and public speculation surrounding their relationship, Archita gave Sabyasachi a heartfelt “SORRY” call. The call was her way of expressing regret — not for any wrongdoing, but for unintentionally being the reason Sabyasachi had earlier declined to work with her.

That small gesture of humility and affection struck a chord with Sabyasachi. He couldn’t turn away this time. The result? He signed on for Mu Eka Tumara, a film that not only became a blockbuster hit but also marked a turning point in their personal and professional relationship.

During the shoot, Archita, however fell for Sabya and proposed him. This was also confirmed by both Archita and Sabyasachi during an interview.

After a wait of 5 years, the couple made it official in 2021.

The intimate ceremony was attended by close friends and family, and their social media announcement read like a heartfelt letter to their fans, thanking them for their unwavering support.

But behind this, there were many struggles- which the couple overcame and now are happily married.

Their eventual union in 2021 was not just a celebration of love, but also a quiet triumph over years of misunderstanding and judgment. Today, they stand as one of the most respected couples in the Odia film industry — proof that love, when rooted in truth, can weather any storm.
