Bhubaneswar, Jun 17: The promotional event for the Odia film ‘Bou Buttu Bhuta’ turned into a grand spectacle as superstar Babushan Mohanty arrived at Utkal Kanika Galleria Mall.

Fans thronged the venue, transforming the mall into a sea of excitement. From the ground floor to the third level, eager spectators gathered to catch a glimpse of their favourite star.

The event, attended by director Jagdish Mishra, producer Tripti Satpathy, music director Gaurav Anand, Mohammad Imran (writer & screenplay), executive producer Sambit Jena, and actors Anisha, Cookies, KK, Udit Guru, and others, saw Babushan making his grand entrance at 7:30 PM, addressing the enthusiastic crowd. Over 1,000 custom-printed balloons were released, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.

The film, which was released during the festive season, has been a box office success, earning ₹51.2 lakh on the first day, ₹41.3 lakh on the second, and crossing ₹2 crore by the fourth day - setting an all-time record in Odia cinema. With over 230 houseful shows across Odisha and beyond, the production team is optimistic about continued success.

The film’s innovative promotional strategies have captivated audiences. Babushan and actress Archita embarked on a city tour in a branded bus, starting from Netaji Terminal in Cuttack. Additionally, a midnight show was organized at Sriya Hall in Bhubaneswar, a first in Odia film history.

Produced by Babushan Films and Tripti Satpathy, Bou Buttu Bhuta was released in 61 theatres across Odisha. The film features Babushan Mohanty, Archita, Aparajita, KK, Ravi Mishra, and Udit Guru, with Jagdish Mishra directing and M. Imran penning the screenplay. The soundtrack, composed by Gaurav Anand, includes hit songs like ‘Dungu Thili’ and ‘Oda Lage’, which have been well received by audiences.
