Ayushmann Khurrana receives extortion threat from Bishnoi gang associate, Mumbai police probe underway

Mumbai, Nov 4: The 'Udta Teer' actor Ayushmann Khurrana has reportedly received a threatening audio message from an individual claiming to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. According to Mumbai Police sources, the sender allegedly demanded crores of rupees from the actor through the audio message.

Mumbai Police have launched an investigation into the threat and are currently verifying the sender's identity and his alleged links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. As part of the investigation, officials are comparing the audio recording with previously available voice samples of a person bearing the same name in police records. However, the sender's alleged association with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has not yet been established.

Thus far, Ayushmann Khurrana has not issued any official statement regarding the reported threat.

Earlier, Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor reportedly received an extortion threat from an individual claiming to be gangster Hari Boxer.

According to reports, the caller allegedly demanded Rs 5 crore from the actor. However, police officials said that a voice comparison with previous recordings attributed to Hari Boxer suggested that the caller was not the gangster he claimed to be.

Prior, a firing incident was reported near Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff's residence in Mumbai's Juhu area on October 18.

As per the reports, armed men riding motorcycles allegedly opened fire at a car as the actor was leaving a football ground. Three people, including Tiger Shroff's driver and an autorickshaw driver, reportedly sustained injuries in the incident. The actor escaped unhurt.

Following the incident, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack.
