Singh also mentioned that he has a few pending playback commitments, which will be released in the coming months. He described his playback journey as “meaningful” and expressed gratitude to fans for their unwavering support.

Known for chart-topping hits such as Tum Hi Ho, Channa Mereya, and Kesariya, Singh has been one of the most sought-after voices in the industry. His decision to step away from playback marks a significant shift in the contemporary music landscape, where his songs have often bridged mainstream cinema and independent artistry.

While the announcement has surprised many, Singh’s emphasis on continuing his musical journey independently suggests that listeners can expect new creative explorations from him in the future. For fans, the retirement from playback may signal the end of a chapter, but not the end of Arijit Singh’s music.
