Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: After Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif and Kajol, Alia Bhatt has now fallen prey to deepfake video has been doing the rounds on social media.

Adding to the latest string of deepfake controversies, a manipulated video of Alia Bhatt has surfaced online. It has been widely shared on the internet now. The video shows a girl dressed in a blue floral co-ord set with Alia's face on it, making some gestures to the camera.

Prior to this, actress Rashmika Mandanna, Kajol and Katrina Kaif have also fallen prey to deepfake technology. The faces of these actresses were morphed into someone else’s using deepfake technology.

Recently, the government announced that it will draft new regulations or amend existing laws in order to deal with the deepfake menace. This draft will be based on four pillars: Detection of deepfakes, prevention of the deepfakes, building of grievance and reporting mechanism and raising awareness.
