Brahmapur, Oct 4: A chilling murder has rocked Nimakhandi on the outskirts of Brahmapur just ahead of the festive season. Police said 25‑year‑old Tuna Nayak was brutally killed with a sharp weapon, his throat slit in what appears to be a fallout of past enmity.
The incident occurred late Friday evening when Nayak was allegedly targeted by assailants wielding sharp weapons. He sustained fatal injuries to his neck and died on the spot.
Panic and tension gripped the locality as news of the murder spread.
