Bhubaneswar, Jul 14: Odisha Vigilance launched a massive crackdown against Odisha Construction Corporation (OCC) Executive Engineer Sanjay Kumar Kispotta, uncovering disproportionate assets worth crores of rupees.
Acting on allegations of amassing wealth beyond known sources of income, simultaneous raids were conducted on Monday across seven locations in Koraput, Sundargarh, Bhubaneswar, and Balangir.
Seven independent teams comprising six DSPs, eight Inspectors, seven ASIs, and other staff carried out the operation. During the raids, investigators seized a wide range of movable and immovable properties registered in the name of Kispotta and his family members.

✨According to Vigilance SP A. Sushree, the seized assets include:
- A four-storey commercial building in Koraput city, spread over 8,000 sq ft with 23 rooms, functioning as a lodge with three-star hotel facilities.
- A three-storey under-construction residential building at Lahunipada, Sundargarh, covering 7,715 sq ft.
- Nine prime plots located in Koraput (6), Rourkela (2), and Bhubaneswar (1).
- Cash amounting to ₹1,16,680.
- Gold ornaments weighing 325.562 grams and silver ornaments weighing 1.121 kg.
- Bank deposits worth ₹46.09 lakh.
- Two four-wheelers (Innova Crysta and Tata Safari) and two two-wheelers.
- Household articles valued at approximately ₹36.52 lakh.
The Vigilance Technical Wing is currently measuring and evaluating all land and buildings, with officials indicating that the total value of assets is likely to rise further.
Kispotta joined government service in 2011 as an Assistant Engineer and served in Narayanpatna, Patangi, and ITDA Koraput for several years. In March 2026, he was promoted as Executive Engineer and posted at OCC Bhubaneswar before being deputed to the Lower Sukatel Project in Balangir.
Investigations into the source of his wealth are ongoing,
and Vigilance officials suspect more assets may surface in the coming days,
potentially pushing the total valuation even higher.
