✨According to officials, Goswami surrendered to police and confessed to the crime. “The main accused is the deceased woman’s husband, Ramanujan Goswami. He has surrendered and admitted his guilt,” said Anurag Sharma, ADCP (East), Guwahati Commissionerate.
Investigators revealed that Riya’s head had been separated from her body and her fingers were also cut off. Her body was found wrapped in polythene inside the apartment, while the severed head was recovered from the refrigerator. Police suspect the murder took place 24 to 48 hours earlier.
