New Delhi, Sep 22: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three men who posed as policemen at a park near Kalkaji Mandir in South Delhi, a source said.
The incident took place around 7:30 pm on Monday after the girl visited Kalkaji Mandir with her 17-year-old male friend. After offering prayers, the two went to a park connecting Kalkaji Mandir and the ISKCON Temple, where the three accused allegedly approached them and claimed to be policemen.
According to the complaint, the accused threatened the girl and her friend before allegedly sexually assaulting the girl. One of the accused allegedly threatened her with a firearm and knife before sexually assaulting her, while the other two also allegedly raped her, the source said.

Police Receive PCR Call
A PCR call regarding the alleged rape was received at around 8:45 pm, following which a police team reached the park, police said.
The girl, a Delhi resident, was taken for medical examination. Police said further legal action was being taken based on her statement.
The cops scanned CCTV footage from the park and surrounding areas to identify the accused and verify the sequence of events. They also gathered information about people who may have been present in or around the area at the time.

One Accused Held After Firing At Police
During the investigation, several teams were formed to trace the accused.
One team received specific information about the movement of one of the suspects near DM Office Road in Amar Colony, following which police laid a trap in the area.

One Accused Held After Firing At Police

When the suspect was intercepted, he allegedly opened fire at the police team. Despite being asked to surrender, he allegedly fired three rounds at the officers, police said.
The police subsequently shot him in the right leg and arrested him.
The accused was identified as Asif, who works at Okhla Mandi.
Hunt On For Two More Accused
Police said efforts are underway to trace and apprehend the two remaining accused.
A case has been registered under relevant provisions of law, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Further investigation is underway.
The police subsequently shot him in the right leg and arrested him.
The accused was identified as Asif, who works at Okhla Mandi.
