The win gives all 16 electoral college votes for Trump making it closer for him to secure the necessary 270 electoral college votes needed to win the race to the White House.

In Georgia, Decision Desk HQ projected the state would go to Trump. Georgia is one of the seven swing states whose voting outcomes are expected to determine the result of this election. President Joe Biden took Georgia in 2020, whereas Trump won the Peach State in 2016.

CNN reported that Georgia became a focal point of national politics after the 2020 presidential election, when Trump called on Georgia state officials, including Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to "find" enough votes to flip the state for him to win. The former president and several of his advisers have been indicted for their actions in Georgia during the 2020 election.

Mewanwhile, with US news outlets yet to call the other swing states, Harris still has a chance if she can win all three Rust Belt states - Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

At 11:11 am (IST) CNN projected Trump wining 246 electoral votes with Harris at 182.

Trump won North Carolina in both 2016, with a margin of 3.66 per cent and in 2020, with a margin of 1.34 per cent. As per projections he has also won 3 electoral votes in Nebraska. Democratic Barack Obama won the state in 2008 but lost in his 2012 re-election bid.

According to a CNN analysis, there are five electoral votes at stake in Nebraska. Nebraska and Maine are the only two states that allow its electoral votes to be split.

Two of Nebraska's five electoral votes go to the winner of the statewide vote. One electoral vote goes to the popular vote winner in each of the state's three congressional districts. Winning the presidential elections it takes at least 270 electoral votes.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris is projected to win Hawaii's presidential contest, to secure the state's four electoral votes. NBC news has said that Minnesota, the home state of Harris is too close to call. She has also secured victories in California, New York and other traditionally Democratic states. Harris will win Virginia, CNN has projected taking 13 electoral votes.

Outside the convention centre in West Palm Beach, Florida where Trump is scheduled to hold his election night party supporters were seen converging.

The mood seemed dismal at Howard University, the alma mater of Kamala Harris as disappointed students began to leave as polling projections showed a lead for Trump in the race.

Namit Malhotra also revealed the first poster of the film on his Instagram handle. The poster features a magical arrow glowing with a golden aura. The poster reads, "Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana" along with the release date, which has been announced two years before.

'Ramayana' will be a two-part film and will be released over the course of 2026 and 2027. Besides Ranbir Kapoor, the upcoming film will star Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Raavan. Ranbir will be seen essaying the role of Lord Ram in the same. Lara Dutta will portray Kaikeyi, Sunny Deol takes on the role of Hanuman, and Sheeba Chaddha will appear as Manthara. Earlier this year, a leaked photo from the set showing Ranbir and Sai in full costume went viral on social media.

Namit Malhotra has been a key player in some of Hollywood's major productions, such as "Dune" and "Inception", along with recent releases like "The Garfield Movie". He also recently announced the upcoming "Angry Birds 3."

The resolution was moved by the Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary and NC leader and minister Sakina Masood seconded the move. The resolution was moved by the government on the third day of the Assembly’s current session.

BJP leader Sunil Sharma, who is also the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, resented the move strongly holding that when the business of the house was a debate on the Lt Governor’s address, how could the government move such a resolution.

The resolution moved by the government said, “This Assembly reaffirms the importance of the special and Constitutional guarantees, which safeguarded the identity, culture and rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and expresses concern over the unilateral removal."

“This Assembly calls upon the Government of India to initiate dialogue with elected representatives of people of J&K for restoration of special status, Constitutional guarantees and to work out the Constitutional mechanisms for restoring these provisions. This Assembly emphasises that any process for restoration must safeguard both national unity and the legitimate aspirations of the people of J&K,” it added.

The move evoked strong opposition and uproar from BJP leader, Sunil Sharma, who said amid din in the house, “When business was about discussion on Lt Governor’s address, how this resolution?” he asked.

Independent MLAs Sheikh Khurshid Ahmed, Shabir Ahmad, Sajad Lone of the People's Conference (PC) and three MLAs of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supported the resolution.

Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather put the motion to vote and it was passed by the majority of the house.

Chaos continued in the Assembly after which the Speaker adjourned the house the 15 minutes.

The passing of the resolution seeking restoration of statehood to J&K by the ruling NC would constitutionally have little impact, but at the political level, the passing of the resolution has brought the J&K government into direct confrontation with the Centre.

Articles 370 and 35A were abrogated by the country’s Parliament on August 5, 2019, and the power of the Parliament to do so was upheld by a Constitutional bench of the Supreme Court.
