With the registrations for the flagship scheme of the Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi-led state government -- 'Subhadra Yojana -- are still underway, Rs 1 has been credited to the accounts of each eligible benificiaries.
Deputy CM Pravati Parida said that it was just a testing. "Rs 1 Each Has Been Credited To Eligible Beneficiaries' Accounts as a test," stated Dy CM Parida. "The registration process will continue until the scheme reaches the last eligible woman," she added.
Dy CM Parida has urged the people not to panic for September 17 -- the day first instalment of the Subhadra Yojana is set to be credited to eligibile benificiaries' accounts.
"Don't panic about the 17th," said Dy CM Parida, who also in charge of Women and Child Development, Mission Shakti, and Tourism Departments.
"Initially, the money will go into the accounts on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday -- September 17," she said.
Giving an update on the registration for Subhadra Yojana, Dy CM Parida said that so far 60 lakh women have registered their names for the flagship scheme. "The government aims to reach more than one crore women in the state," she signed off.
'Subhadra Swagat Padayatra'
In another development, Dy CM Parida, Sunday, launched the 'Subhadra Swagat Padayatra' across the state to spread awareness about the government's flagship scheme.
Deputy CM KV Singh Deo, Lok Sabha MP Aparajita Sarangi and other BJP leaders attended the “Subhadra Swagat Padayatra” programme.

A massive 'Subhadra Swagat Padayatra' took place from Unit-III Giridurga Temple to Ramadevi University Square in the Capital City. Thousands of woman along with Dy CM Parida marched in the Padayatra.
Around 10,000 'Subhadra Swagat Padayatras' have reportedly been organised.
The eligibile benificiaries, who have registered their names for the Subhadra Yojana by September 15, will get the first instalment of the scheme September 17.
