The State Assembly was told about the investment proposals received through Make in Conclaves and execution of the proposals today. Industries Minister Pratap Keshari Deb submitted a reply in response to a question.
The Minister said as many as 84 investment proposals, comprising together worth Rs 2,32,035 crore, were received at the first Make in Odisha conclave held in 2016. Of the proposals, 27 proposals are under different stages of construction. While four have already commenced production, eight others will start functioning soon.

As many as 202 investment proposals, together worth Rs 4,23,115 crore, were received from the Make in Odisha Conclave in 2018. Of these, 71 projects are in different stages of construction and 11 have started production.
However, the Minister claimed that Odisha has investment rate more than national average. Odisha has received 45-47% investment proposals compared to national average of 22.
He said a total of 710 investment proposals worth Rs 10,48,807 crore were received from Make in Odisha conclave in 2022. If implemented, the projects would create job opportunities for 10,37,801 persons.
