The Minister said this while addressing the 'Bijay Sankalp Samabesh' at the Rameswaram Stadium in Sonepur under Balangir Parliamentary Constituency in the State.
"Despite being rich in mines, minerals, and water resources, Odisha is poor. Maximum number of poor people live in Odisha. Youths are migrating to Maharashtra, Gujarat and other states in search of jobs," Shah said.

"If voted to power, the BJP government would establish fisheries college, agro-based industries and textile parks so that no one from this region will go outside to work as a migrant labourer," he added.
The people of Odisha have been deprived of the Ayushman Bharat scheme as the Chief Minister thinks Prime Minister Narendra Modi will become popular if it is implemented in the state, Shah claimed.
“I appeal to the people of Odisha to send more than 20 MPs to Lok Sabha and bless the BJP to form a government in Odisha for the all round development of the State,” the BJP leader urged the people.
Odisha will be voting simultaneously for its 147-seat Assembly along with the elections for the 21 Lok Sabha seats.
The voting dates have been scheduled for May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1.
