Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya to attend the grand 'Pran Pratishtha' of Ram Lalla on Monday afternoon.

Ayodhya, Jan 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple in Ayodhya to attend the grand 'Pran Pratishtha' of Ram Lalla on Monday afternoon.

Soon after PM Modi's arrival, the Pran Pratishtha ceremony started.

PM Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat could be seen attending the ceremony.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present on the temple premises to attend the ceremony.

"All the guest dignitaries who are coming to witness the auspicious occasion of Pran Pratishtha of the new idol of Shri Ramlala are heartily welcomed and congratulated in Shri Ayodhya Dham, the place of manifestation of Lord Shri Ram, the best among the Saptapuris. Jai Siya Ram!" CM Yogi posted on X.

Welcoming RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, UP CM Yogi Adityanath posted, "Jai Shri Ram! In the Pran Prastishta program of the new idol of Shri Ramlala in Shri Ayodhya Dham, the beloved city of Lord Shri Ram @RSSorg. Hearty welcome and congratulations to Honorable Sarsanghchalak of Respected Mohan Bhagwat Ji!"

CM Yogi Adityanath said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the wait of countless Ram devotees is going to be fulfilled.

The Chief Minister also welcomed all saints and religious leaders coming from all over the country.

The 'Pran Pratistha' of Ram Lalla is scheduled for Paush Shukla Kurma Dwadashi, Vikram Samvat 2080, which falls today, January 22.

The day's rituals started with a morning puja and the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla is expected to start around 12.30 pm and end by 1 pm.

Temple authorities said that all the guests will be provided with bells which they will be ringing during the Aarti.

CM Majhi Launches 158 Projects During His Visit To Keonjhar

Keonjhar, Sept 22: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Sunday has launched a staggering 158 projects which will benifit the people.

CM Majhi has inaugurated 55 public-benificial projects and laid the foundation for 98 projects.

The 158 projects carry a total budget of Rs 987 Crore and 35 lakhs. The inaugurated 55 projects carry a budget of Rs 92 Crore and 46 lakhs, while 98 projects carry a budget of Rs 850 crore and 14 lakhs.

CM Majhi is currently on a three-day visit to Keonjhar -- his second visit to his home district after he took over as the Chief Minister.

Majhi had arrived at Raisuan airstrip near Keonjhar in a helicopter at 10.40 am Friday. He was received by Keonjhar Lok Sabha member Anant Nayak, and other party leaders.

Chennai Test: Ashwin, Jadeja Help India To A 280-Run Victory Over Bangladesh

Chennai, Sept 22: Indian spin duo Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took India to a comfortable victory of 280 runs over Bangladesh in the first Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium here Sunday.

Day 4 of the ongoing Chennai Test began with India needing six wickets and Bangladesh needing 357 runs more to win the first match of the two-match series.

For India, Ashwin snapped six wickets in his spell of 21 overs, where he conceded 88 runs. Three wickets were bagged by Jadeja in his spell of 5.1 overs where he conceded 58 runs and bowled two maiden overs. One wicket was taken by Jasprit Bumrah where he conceded just 24 runs and bowled two maiden overs in his 10 overs.

At the time of drinks, Bangladesh were 194/4, with Najmul Hossain Shanto (64*) and Shakib Al Hasan (25*) unbeaten on the crease.

After drinks, off-spinner Ravichandaran Ashwin provided the first breakthrough for the hosts as he sent back left-hand batter Shakib Al Hasan back to the pavillion. The southpaw was dismissed after scoring 25 runs.

Following the left-hand batter's departure, the team's wicketkeeper, Litton Das, came out to bat in the middle along with captain Shanto.

Bangladesh touched the 200 run mark in 53.5 overs as Shanto slammed a boundary on the bowling of Ashwin.

In the next over, Das went back to the dressing room on the bowling of Jadeja after scoring just one run when the team score was 205 runs in the 55th over.

From there on, Bangladesh started to falter and got bowled out for just 234 runs in the 62.1 overs the side faced in their second inning.

Shanto played a magnificent innings of 82 runs off 127 balls which was laced with eight boundaries and three maximums.

At the end of day three, Bangladesh were 158/4, with skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto (51*) and Shakib Al Hasan (5*) unbeaten. Bangladesh started the post-Tea session at 56/0 with Shadman Islam (21) and Zakir Hasan (32) unbeaten on the crease.

Jasprit Bumrah struck early for India in the session, removing Zakir for 33 (47 balls). The rest three wickets were picked by Ravichandran Ashwin as he dismissed Shadman Islam (35), Mominul Haque (13), and Mushfiqur Rahim (13).

The second session of Day three of the Chennai Test resumed with India at 205/3 with Rishabh Pant (82*) and Shubman Gill (86*) unbeaten on the crease. India now have a lead of 432 runs.

Gill played an unbeaten knock of 119 runs from 176 balls, which was laced with 10 boundaries and four maximums.

Middle-order batter KL Rahul also played a valuable knock of unbeaten 22 runs in 19 balls, which included four boundaries.India declared their innings when the team score was 287 runs for the loss of four wickets. They set a target of 515 runs for the visitors in order to win the first match of the series.

India 376 and 287/4 decl (Shubman Gill 119*, Rishabh Pant 109; Nahid Rana 1/21) beat Bangladesh: 149 & 234 all out (Najmul Hossain Shanto 82, Shadman Islam 35; Ravichandran Ashwin 6/88, Ravindra Jadeja 3/58) by 280 runs.
