The source privy to the development also confirmed to IANS that Pooran will be the front-runner to lead the side in the IPL 2025.

"The franchise is ready to show their trust in Pooran. He captained last year too and carries a vast experience of leading his national side too. So we will be continuing with his skills. Apart from him, we are going with spearhead pacer Mayank Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi," a source close to the franchise told IANS.

Pooran, an explosive batsman and versatile wicketkeeper, emerged as the star for LSG. Signed for Rs 16 crore in 2023, he quickly became one of the highest-paid players in the league, showcasing his power-hitting ability and leadership skills during Rahul's absence last season.

Pooran, 29, has enjoyed a steep rise since his IPL debut, where his price tag jumped from Rs 30 lakh with Mumbai Indians in 2017 to over Rs 16 crore with LSG, after a competitive bidding process against his former franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, Mayank Yadav, a fast-bowling sensation, has caught the selectors' attention with his 150 km/h deliveries and explosive performances in his debut season. Despite an injury that limited him to only four matches in IPL 2024, his rapid ascent led to a national call-up and inclusion at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence. Mayank’s journey began when LSG picked him for a modest Rs 20 lakh, yet his impact has already set him apart in India's pace lineup.

LSG's core bowling lineup is further strengthened with Ravi Bishnoi, the talented leg-spinner, who was retained in the 2022 mega auction as an uncapped player. Over the seasons, Bishnoi has evolved into a match-winner for LSG, known for his reliable economy and wicket-taking ability, helping LSG reach the playoffs in 2022 and 2023. Despite a slightly quieter 2024 season, Bishnoi remains an integral part of LSG’s bowling attack.

Apart from these three players, the other two likely retentions are Mohson Khan--the tall young left-arm pacer and middle-order explosive batter Ayush Badoni.

As previously reported by IANS, LSG captain KL Rahul is likely to enter the mega auction instead of being retained by the franchise.

The Health and Family Welfare Minister's assertion assumes significance as only a day is left for the Ayushman Bharat Part 2 launch. 

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch part 2 of the Ayushman Bharat scheme tomorrow. Odisha will execute part 2 during the current financial year," said Mahaling. 

Mahaling said modalities would be prepared to implement both the part 1 and 2 versions of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Health cards would be issued to the beneficiaries by the end of the current financial year, he said. 

The Minister said a single card will be issued to beneficiaries to avail of free-of-cost treatment of both the Gopabandhu Swasthya Yojana and Ayushman Bharat Yojana. New cards will be issued to about 1 crore beneficiaries, he said.

The Minister expressed happiness saying that the new cardholders can get free treatment in as many as 27,000 hospitals across the country, while only 950 hospitals were linked to provide old cardholders treatment.  

According to sources, part 2 of the Ayushman Bharat will ensure free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh to citizens aged above 70 years.

Director-producer Rakesh Roshan shared the announcement with a new teaser of the film. The 1-minute teaser takes viewers on a trip down the memory lane of this reincarnation - revenge saga.

Salman also took to his Instagram, to share the new teaser with his fans. He wrote in the caption, “Raakhi ji ne sahi kaha tha film mein ki mere Karan Arjun aayenge … November 22 ko duniya bhar ke cinema gharon mein”.

The film also starred Rakhee, Kajol, Mamta Kulkarni and Amrish Puri. It told the story of two brothers, who are reincarnated to seek revenge on their mother’s behalf. The film is known for its chartbuster music.

Rakesh Roshan wrote on his Instagram, “Karan Arjun aa rahe hai! Witness the reincarnation across the globe in cinema halls from November 22nd 2024”.

The film emerged as a Blockbuster and one of the top grossing films of the year witnessing a golden 50 week run in 76 centres at the time of its release.

Over the years, Karan Arjun has remained etched in pop culture due to its high on recall dialogues like 'Mere Karan Arjun Aayenge', 'Bhaag Arjun Bhaag!', soul-stirring music by Rajesh Roshan in songs like 'Yeh Bandhan Toh...', 'Bhangda Paale', 'Rana ji Maaf Karna' and 'Jaati Hoon Main' along with the endearing theme of brotherhood.

Produced by Rakesh Roshan's FilmKraft Production, Karan Arjun was a box office juggernaut upon its release, becoming one of the highest-grossing films of 1995.
