Mumbai, Jan 4: Superstar Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan is now married to Nupur Shikhare. The couple solemnized their relationship via a registered marriage at Taj Lands End, Bandra in Mumbai.

However, the marriage ceremony was a thorough entertainer for the netizens as Nupur gave stark contrast to his wife Ira, in the costume department.

While Ira looked beautiful in a white outfit for her special day, Nupur’s sartorial choice was a shocker for many.

Nupur, who is a fitness trainer, ditched the traditional choice of the horse and jogged for 8 kms to reach the wedding venue. During the ceremony, he was seen wearing a black vest and white shorts.

As expected, the Internet didn’t leave a chance to polish its skills in humour as many netizens spoke about the groom’s choice for his special day.

One internet user wrote, “Bhai apni hi shaadi mein kapde pehenana bhool gaya.”

Another wrote, “Why is he wearing a baniyan?? Was Manish Malhotra still on vacation??”

A third user deployed a meme to launch his strike, “Entry to acchi hai, per shaadi krne ka style kaafi cazual hai.”

Nupur Shikhare proposed to Ira in 2022 and is the official fitness trainer of Ira and Aamir. The pre-wedding festivities started with a Haldi ceremony on Tuesday. The couple made it official at the the night of Wednesday.

Odisha CM Orders Inquiry Into Death Of Tribal Women For Consumption Of Mango Kernel

Bhubaneswar, Nov 5: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday ordered an RDC-level inquiry into the death of two women following the alleged consumption of mango kernel porridge at Madipanka village in Kandhamal district a couple of days back.

“Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed an RDC (revenue divisional commissioner) level inquiry into the mango kernel death issue in Kandhamal district,” the Chief Minister's Office said in a statement on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a delegation of the opposition congress party on Tuesday met Governor Raghubar Das and submitted a memorandum seeking his intervention in the case.

“Had the food supplies been released on time in October, this incident and the loss of two precious lives could have been saved. Delay in food distribution violates the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and is a criminal offence,” the party alleged in the memorandum.

The party made several demands in the memorandum including monetary compensation of Rs 20 lakhs each for the family members of the two women who allegedly died after eating mango porridge, removal of Food and Supplies Minister Krushna Chandra Patra from state cabinet, sacking of the district collector of Kandhamal for gross negligence, etc.

The party also urged the governor to make a field visit to the affected village to assess the ground realities.

“As you are the constitutional custodian of tribal rights, we request your visit to these areas to witness the ground realities firsthand. Your presence will bring much-needed attention to the issues, helping to set many things back on track,” urged the party.

Notably, eight persons fell seriously ill after consuming mango kernel porridge and rice in Madipanka village in the Daringbadi area of Kandhamal district on October 29. All the sick persons were later admitted to the Community Health Center at Brahmanigaon where a lady succumbed the next day on October 30.

The doctors later refer the rest seven sick persons to the MKCG medical college and hospital at Berhampur in the Ganjam district.

On the basis of primary inquiry, the state government on Saturday clarified that food poisoning was the actual cause behind the unfortunate deaths.

Odisha Govt To Provide 3 Months’ PDS Rice To Beneficiaries In Advance

Bhubaneswar, Nov 5: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday the Food Supply and Consumer Welfare department to provide rice of three months’ quota in advance to the beneficiaries of public distribution system (PDS) across the state.

The direction was issued after the Chief Minister held a review meeting on the PDS in the State, at the Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar.

The Chief Minister also asked the concerned officials to expedite the 'One Nation One Retion' system and E-KYC process for the migrant Odia people.

The State government has taken steps to include all workers registered as e-workers in the public distribution system. It has been decided to immediately include 1.31 lakh workers who are yet to be registered in e-Shramik in the food security scheme, CM Majhi said.

Food Supply and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra, chief secretary Manoj Ahuja, chief minister’s additional chief secretary Nikunja Behari Dhal were present in the meeting.

President Murmu Releases Three Publications Of Supreme Court

New Delhi, Nov 5: President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday released three publications of the Supreme Court at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The three publications are: "Justice for Nation: Reflections on 75 Years of the Supreme Court of India", "Prisons in India: Mapping Prison Manuals and Measures for Reformation and Decongestion", and "Legal Aid Through Law Schools: A Report on Working of Legal Aid Cells in India".

In her address on the occasion, President Murmu noted that "Justice for the Nation..." captured the high points of the Supreme Court’s journey of 75 years, describing the impact of the top court on various aspects of the lives of the people.

The President said that the Supreme Court has developed a jurisprudence which is rooted in the Indian ethos and realities, adding that the justice delivery system must strengthen our onward march as a just and fair society.

Further, she said that the report on the working of legal aid cells was devoted to the legal aid clinics operating in law schools in the country. She said that legal aid clinics contribute to imparting holistic legal education to youth and sensitise them to the needs of the vulnerable segments of our society.

The President said that the status of under-trial prisoners has been an abiding concern for her and the report on the prison system sought to understand the role of the judiciary in reducing the number of undertrial prisoners.

President Murmu expressed confidence that the three publications released would help realize the objectives of free legal aid and prison reforms, besides educating the people about the exceptional role played by the Supreme Court. "I congratulate the members of the Bench and Bar, past and present, for making the Supreme Court of India the great institution that it is. I wish the apex Court of India a greater future ahead," she said.
