Bhubaneswar, Oct 17: In Hinduism, it is a common belief that the soul is immortal and there is always a soul-rebirth for its spiritual continuation.

The belief also says that there is an afterlife scenario before a soul's rebirth. The spiritual concept is still debatable, considering there is nothing concrete to prove the belief.

However, an American woman's claims have made the debate quite interesting. Her words, if believed to be true, certainly corroborate the claims of Hinduism.

As per a report, the American woman was declared clinically dead for 11 minutes. The report says that the woman, 68, claimed to have wandered through heaven and hell when she was in an unconscious state (clinically dead).

She reportedly lost consciousness for 11 minutes but doctors declared her clinically dead. During the period of her unconsciousness, she said she encountered angels, family members, and, eventually, a terrifying glimpse of hell, before coming back to life.

The woman claimed that she saw trees and grass swaying with a music and worshipping God in heaven. She was even greeted by her deceased loved ones, including her mother, father and her sister in the heaven. They were not sick, they looked wonderful, she added.

The elderly woman also claimed to have seen the edge of hell. She smelt a foul smell and saw the recently deceased crying. She revealed that the incident happened to her five years ago.

Last year, an NRI man residing in England also claimed to have experienced such happenings when he “died” for seven minutes. He had also made such claims after waking up at a hospital after seven minutes.
