Odisha: Retired IPS Officer Lalit Das Appointed OSSSC Chairman

Bhubaneswar, Oct 22: Odisha government appointed retired IPS officer Lalit Das as the chairman of the Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC), officials said on Tuesday.

Das, a 1992-batch Odisha cadre IPS officer, served as Chief of Human Rights Protection Cell (HRPC) of the State police.

Dr. Uddhaba Chandra Majhi (IAS Retd ) and Saroj Kumar Mishra (OAS Retd) have been appointed as Members of the OSSSC.

The Commission became functional on November 1, 2012. It conducts the recruitment examinations for the district level Group-C Civil posts under the State government, officials said.
