Local forest dwellers are all eager to witness the 'Chhatar Yatra', organized amid drum beating and Mantra chanting.

Goddess Sunadei is the presiding deity of nearly 52 villages and hamlets.

Maa Sunadei's annual festival is celebrated for 15 days, the concluding day being Kumarpunima. Chhatar Yatra is the concluding ritual of the festival.

It is a common belief that the Goddess showers blessings on the devotees who witness her Chhatra Yatra on the Kumarpurnima Utsav.
